Tras la construcción del nuevo malecón escénico en la playa de San Mateo, ubicado en la provincia de Manabí, al sur de la ciudad de Manta, se implementará un nuevo sistema de recolección de aguas servidas.
La empresa pública aguas de Manta, está trabajando junto con la alcaldía en el nuevo sistema en donde se espera que elimine el derrame de aguas servidas en las calles, y con ello la desaparición de los pozos sépticos que se acumulan. Además, la eliminación del lodo que causaba un mal olor, se espera que con el nuevo malecón se construya nuevas zonas comerciales que atraerán al turismo.
“Antes visitaba la playa de San Mateo, pero el mal olor que causaba el agua derramada en las calles, hizo que dejara de ir, pero ahora veo que además de arreglar el sistema sanitario, construirán un malecón”, manifestó Cristhian Flores, ciudadano de la ciudad de Manta.
“Estoy contenta en que la alcaldesa se preocupe por nosotros, y en el cuidado de la playa, esta obra además de evitar la contaminación va a traer muchos turistas”, expresó Miriam Pacheco, moradora de San Mateo. Agregó que espera más proyectos enfocados en el cuidado del medio ambiente.
