El día de ayer, la playa de San Lorenzo fue testigo de un espectáculo maravilloso, el nacimiento de 75 tortugas que salieron de su nido para iniciar su aventura en el océano. Los encargados del ambiente del lugar ayudaron a las pequeñas criaturas a llegar al mar, protegiéndolas de posibles depredadores y obstáculos.
Las tortugas habían sido incubadas desde el 2 de septiembre, cuando una tortuga madre llegó a la playa para depositar sus huevos en la arena. Desde entonces, los ambientalistas monitorearon el nido y esperaron pacientemente el momento de la eclosión.
“Las tortugas son animales en peligro de extinción y su supervivencia depende de la colaboración de todos. Por eso, se recomienda a los visitantes de la playa que respeten el espacio de los nidos y no dejen basura ni contaminantes en la arena”, especificó Daniel Carrasco, agente de conservación ambiental, mientras observaba cuidadosamente a las tortugas en la arena para que llegaran a la orilla del mar.
“Es hermoso ver como estas tortugas inician su vida y han sido protegidas durante este tiempo para que puedan salir, es importante no ensuciar las playas para ver estos acontecimientos muchísimos más años”, confesó Andreina López, quien visitaba junto a su pareja la playa.
