En la madrugada del 14 de noviembre a la 01H00 a.m., en la primera puerta de la Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí, se generó una pelea entre dos personas en estado de ebriedad después del evento celebrando los 38 años de la universidad.
Debido a que el sujeto de camiseta verde lanzó una botella de vidrio al suelo, desafiando al sujeto de camisa roja. La confrontación se prolongó por aproximadamente dos minutos, culminando con el derribo del individuo de camisa roja por parte de su oponente.
La intervención de la Policía Nacional se llevó a cabo después de que la pelea se generara. Ambos combatientes fueron detenidos, mientras que la policía usaba gas pimienta para dispersar a los espectadores que rodeaban la escena del altercado, contribuyendo así a restablecer el orden en el lugar.
Darío Quiroz, estudiante de la Uleam, expresó su tensión debido a la pelea que se desató en la primera puerta. “Es indignante que, después del concierto organizado por la universidad, dos personas hayan decidido pelear y arruinar la noche para todos los que estábamos presentes. Al momento en que la policía tirara gas pimienta, me dio en los ojos y estuve con los ojos rojos toda la noche”, agregó.
“Para mí, no estuvo bien que la policía interviniera después de la pelea, sabiendo que estaban ahí, porque eso pudo terminar en una catástrofe. Dos personas en estado de ebriedad no es de dejarlas que se peleen”, manifestó Luis Chiriboga, estudiante de dicha universidad.
Se ha generado debates sobre la necesidad de implementar mejor seguridad para estos eventos organizados por la universidad. Se espera que estas discusiones conduzcan a mejorar la importancia de tener un ambiente seguro.
