Con el collage verde de las montañas de Jama en el estadio Arnulfo Cevallos, se llevó a cabo el campeonato más esperado por el cantón, donde se enfrentaron El Matal vs Punta Ballena.
Los aficionados que se dieron cita en las gradas del estadio Cevallos proclamaban los nombres de ambos equipos. Mientras el balón permanecía de un extremo a otro, en la atmosfera se espectaba la emoción a flor de piel en la cara de los asistentes.
La defensa de El Matal fue vulnerada por los jugadores de Punta ballena, dejando una apertura en el arco, de la cual exaltó a la hinchada en emoción con la primera anotación del jugador Edú Valencia.
Al finalizar el primer tiempo, en medio del descanso de los jugadores, Carlos Pérez aventuró frente a los jugadores con fuerza, “podemos con más, vamos a dejarlo todo en la cancha”.
El inicio del segundo tiempo empieza y la presión navega entre todos los asistentes del estadio, el público gritaba en la espera de la victoria con cada cercanía de los delanteros al arco. “Es una locura, siento como si yo estuviera en la cancha”, enfatizaba María Mera destapando una botella de agua, intentando calmar su sed de victoria.
Termina el segundo tiempo y los jugadores de El Matal, inauguran su victoria entre aplausos y celebraciones de victoria juntos a sus familiares e hinchada.
Por otro lado, Punta Ballena, con esta perdida debe buscar recuperarse en su próximo encuentro.
